The Pacific Institute of Management organized a two days Certificate Program cum workshop for the management students to educate them about the Formation & Management of NGOs . Not only the students were provided theoretical knowledge about NGOs, but were also given a practical exposure through a NGO Visit at Gayatri Seva Sansthan Site (THANNA) Udaipur. The visit gave students an opportunity to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication to become a successful social entrepreneur.

The NGO Gayatri Seva Sansthan initially focused around promoting primary education in the tribal areas. However, having worked for couple of year in this area, GSS felt the need of integrated efforts towards multidimensional development for sustainable overall upliftment of the targeted area and mainstreaming of the local tribal community. The organization has grown into three major verticals for integrated development of the local tribal population: 

·         Human and Institutional Development
·         Livelihood Enhancement
·         Natural Resource Management
The program coordinator Dr.Kulvinder kaur  told that the students in this two days program  got to know in detail about the concept & framework of  NGOs, their role & functions , establishment mechanism, drafting of project proposal and much more.

The first session of the program was taken by Dr. Nidhi Nalwaya in which she disseminated knowledge to the students about how an NGO could be setup, what kind of projects could be initiated under NGO,  identifying the problems of NGO projects related to rural sector & providing solutions for them ,connecting the dots of various projects through observation & discussion and how to develop a concrete business idea.

 The second session was conducted post lunch by Mr. Chetan Pandey,(C.E.O) of Gayatri Sewa Sansthan to develop the knowledge of the participants about the documentation required to setup an NGO, varied NGO projects, various issues & challenges faced by NGO’s, and their execution process. Later Dr. Rahul Vyas gave knowledge to the students about the legal aspects related to NGOs i.e the legal documents & formalities required for the formation of NGOs. He discussed various case studies with the students to make them easily understand  the legal aspects related to NGOs. Students found the session very informative and the session has motivated many students to initiate their NGO projects and become social entrepreneur.


The Faculty of Management of Pacific University, Udaipur organized a two days Certification Program on Digital Marketing and social media Techniques on 26-27th August 2017 to make the participants familiar with the concept and scope of Digital Marketing, difference between traditional & digital marketing and Digital Marketing Campaigns (Web & Mobile).

Ms. Heena Purohit, the program trainer, provided knowledge to the students about the vigorous tools and social media platforms which the students would requir to build their brand, generate leads and attract audience.

She also provided the participants an understanding of need of digital marketing in current era, why should every business or brand care about Digital Media and how to leverage relevant Digital Marketing tools to improve efficiency & move ahead of competitors.

The program contributed to foster the professional development of the participants by making them conversant with essential digital marketing avenues viz. Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Optimization (SMO), Social Media Marketing (SMM), Affiliate Marketing, EMail Marketing etc.

The program essentially focused  to broaden the knowledge of the participants on how to promote business online through the use of websites and social media. 

94 participants comprising  students from Engineering College, Pharma College, Dental College, Management College, Commerce College and individuals from corporate sector attended the session .
Students developed their technical skills by understanding the use and application of On-Page Optimization, Off-Page Optimization, Website Authority Factors, Search Engine Guidelines & Updates and SEO Tools. Through the session students also learned how to convert their prospects into leads using E Mails, how to strategize PPC campaigns , how to leverage Linkedin for B2B lead generation and how to plan & create multi –channel social media strategy.

The Program Co-ordinator Dr.Kulvinder Kaur told that such certification programs develop the managerial skills of the students and enable them to perform at the highest level in their professional life. These programs are conducted every month to develop and polish the professional skills of the students.  


The Pacific Institute of Management organized a Certification Program on MODERN BANKING OPERATIONS AND PRACTICES on 7-8th Oct. 2017,  to teach and encapsulate in the MBA students all the Key aspects of Modern Banking System and Practices. The objective of the two days program was to acquaint  the participants with the Emerging  Banking Trends , latest technological developments  in the Banking System and functional knowledge in the areas of Banking processes and procedures.

The program coordinator DR. KULVINDER KAUR told that in all 49 students  participated in the program. The institute keeps conducting such vocational programs to deliver knowledge and training in various professional fields. These programs enhance the intellectual capacity and professional business skills of the students and enable them  get lucrative positions in various industries. 

The certificate program was addressed by Dr. N. S. Chawda, Assistant Professor, Pacific Institute of Management who shared his expertise knowledge about the Banking operations, products & services with the students. He provided the students a detailed understanding about -

     ·        Types of Cards: Prepaid, Credit, Debit.
     ·        Travel, Unifare Metro Cards.
     ·        Visa PayWave method of payment.

     ·        Fund transfer through NEFT; RTGS, UPI, IMPS.
      ·        Digital mode of Payments (QR code based, Smart watch banking, 
         Mobile wallets, Mobile apps)
     ·     Aadhaar enabled payments system.
     ·         Overview of *99# Service .

He also equipped the students with the knowledge of  Mobile Banking and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the banking system.

The overall session proved to be a knowledge booster that enhanced the confidence of students to become successful in this sector.
