Every organization’s thirst of doing something in return to its society makes it a lively organization and Pacific University is also one among them, in this Connection University has conducted a one day workshop on a very pertinent area of these days after demonetization i.e. cashless transaction on 15/01/2017
This initiative of government has lead to a temporary scarcity of currency circulation in market, for which we all have to work together to overcome the problem as a responsible citizens. The very pertinent option available to effectively deal with this situation is the use of cashless payment methods for the day to day payment needs.
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under their financial literacy programme “VISAKA” has also advised us to work in this area and help the system in peculating this mode of payment to all the citizens of this region to which we can target and approach conveniently.
In this endeavor, Prof. Dipin Mathur & Dr. Narendra S. Chawda represented the university as a trainer for this programme held at village Merta (Dabok). Under this initiative university tried to make the mass familiar with the various options of cashless transaction i.e. UPI, USSD, AEPS, IMPS and BHIM.
