CERTIFICATION PROGRAM ON MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES


 MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES
28-29th Jan.'17

A Two Days Certification Program on Management of Health Care Services was organized by Pacific Institute of Management on 28-29th Jan.'17. The program was designed to build the knowledge and skills of individuals belonging to medical stream which would enable them administer and manage various domains of the health care sector effectively. Dr. Ravi Thaker, Physiologist in PMCH, started the session and educated the participants on need of Quality Assurance in Health Care Services. The Post-lunch session was taken by Dr.R. P. Shrimali who updated the participants on Key issues related to Health Care services and their Management. 
The second day session was started by Dr. Rampal singh Chauhan and was later continued by Dr. R. P. Shrimali.  
Dr.Rampal singh Chauhan made the candidates conversant with the general aspects of Hospital Administration, Health Care Accreditations, Health Care Laws and Ethic Management. 
Dr. R.P. Shrimali equipped the candidates with the knowledge of the latest trends in Health Care Management and contemporary issues of the Health care Organizations.
The program coordinators Dr.Bhargavi Saxena and Dr.Kulvinder Kaur told that 25 participants comprising of BHMS, BAMS, BDS, Nursing and Pharmacy students and few doctors attended the session.

Industrial Visit at Hindustan Zinc Ltd.

The students of Pacific University and RTU IV semester visited to Hindustan Zinc, Debari (A subsidiary of Vedanta Resources) for an industrial trip on 28th january 2017. The students got an exposure on the various aspects of managing an organization which is the world’s second largest zinc producer. They learned about integrated mining and how zinc, lead, silver and cadmium are extracted from the plant engineer, Mr. Tulasi Ram. They also got to know about the safety measures followed by the organization. Their H.R. Manager, Mr. Shravan Dwivedi gave insights on the overall management of the organization. The faculty members Dr. Gaurav Joshi and Ms. Heena Purohit accompanied the students.

Pacificians outshine at IIM-Udaipur Audacity-2017

Winners of Fashion Show

Faculty of management Pacific University participated at IIM-Udaipur’s cultural fest Audacity’17 in Fashion Enigma. The flagship cultural extravaganza of IIM Udaipur is the most anticipated festival of Rajasthan. It provides the youth a unique opportunity to participate in some never seen before events and explore their unexplored selves.  The theme of the ramp walk was “Audacity” or “Magic” where the students of the Faculty of Management gave a new vision of beauty to the world. We have been trained to view beauty in certain restricted parameters.  Why can’t dark be the new normal. Black & white have always supplemented each other. So in the era of change we should all come out of our closed mind sets and challenge the preset frontiers of beauty until now. We all are beautiful in our own ways.
There were various teams for the event across the city where the Faculty of management, Pacific University stood as the winner. The Winners were awarded with total of worth Rs. 16,000 in cash & kind. 

The participating students were: Priyanka Sharma, Ankita Mehta, Vijendra Singh Chandel, Vikil dagariya, Piyush Vaishnav, Ajay Joshi, Jyoti Nigam, Payal Kothari, Abhishek Saxena, Akanksha Sharma, Jyoti Nigam and Ruchi Mandowara.

Industrial visit at TEMPSENS INSTRUMENTS (I) PVT. LTD.


Industrial Visit for second semester M.B.A. (RTU) students was carried out at Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt. Ltd., Udaipur on 17th January, 2017.   Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt. Ltd. is one of the largest solution providers for thermal engineering products, with world class manufacturing facilities based in India. It's a part of Pyrotech Group which was established by four technocrats in 1976 at Udaipur, with the first product as Thermocouples and RTDs. Tempsens has focused on the manufacturing and supply of high quality Thermal engineering products, accessories and services; built to specific customer needs. Tempsens have tied up with world leaders in Thermal engineering technology for critical components, Non contact Temperature measurement, Heaters, Furnaces, etc.
The purpose behind the visit was to make students aware about how different actions related to human resource; marketing, production and operation are carried out in company and give them feel of management in real world. In the industry the students were guided by Mr. Deval (HR Manager) & Mr. Hitesh (Systems Engineer) and an orientation of industry was given by them.

The students get to know in detail about Thermal engineering technology and temperature engineering solution. The students also gathered deep insight about how these products are marketed in foreign countries and the related export procedures involved.  Students got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication. The students were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Jinendra Vyas and Dr. Nidhi Nalwaya.

Financial Literacy Camp at Merta Village


Every organization’s thirst of doing something in return to its society makes it a lively organization and Pacific University is also one among them, in this Connection University has conducted a one day workshop on a very pertinent area of these days after demonetization i.e. cashless transaction on 15/01/2017
This initiative of government has lead to a temporary scarcity of currency circulation in market, for which we all have to work together to overcome the problem as a responsible citizens. The very pertinent option available to effectively deal with this situation is the use of cashless payment methods for the day to day payment needs.
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under their financial literacy programme “VISAKA” has also advised us to work in this area and help the system in peculating this mode of payment to all the citizens of this region to which we can target and approach conveniently.
In this endeavor, Prof. Dipin Mathur & Dr. Narendra S. Chawda represented the university as a trainer for this programme held at village Merta (Dabok). Under this initiative university tried to make the mass familiar with the various options of cashless transaction i.e. UPI, USSD, AEPS, IMPS and BHIM. This initiative was also supported by the branch staff of Bank of Baroda Debari branch.
