Session on Psychology

Prof. Bhawana Detha, took a session on Psychology for the management students on 01.03.2016 to give exposure to the range of theoretical perspectives including biological, evolutionary and cognitive psychoanalytical. She told students that psychology is not a new subject; in fact it has been there with us for so long and has a variety of resources to help us understand the working process of mind. She further gave an overview of how our brain works and discussed the key components of psychological study.
She stated various examples to make the students understand the real meaning of psychology and told about the psychological tests to evaluate one’s ability, attitude and aptitude. She shared a story of Jar and Pebbles to make the students learn how they can adjust themselves in different situation come in life.
Overall the session was very good, the students enjoyed thoroughly and at the end quenched their thrust by asking questions.
